At the mountain station for the Tiefenbachbahn on the Tiefenbach glacier special thrilling moments lie in store for summiteers – on the cliff path on the Tiefenbachkogl, a glass and steel construction which is only secured with steel cables – secured to an impressive 15 m high pyramid. Beneath it: 60 m precipice. Dare to head out 20 m – in the midst of nothing and enjoy the unbelievable view to the Wildspitze – Tirol‘s highest mountain.

BIG 3 natural platform Schwarze Schneide (3340 metres)
The biggest summit in the BIG 3 is a ‘she’. The Schwarze Schneide inspires at 3340 m altitude. As a trophy it adorns a circular panel made from larch wood which has been place directly on the snowy summit. Highlight in the centre – an impressive energy pyramid for concentrated mountain energy. And a panoramic view to countless three-thousand metre mountains – over 100 km to the Dolomites in the south and the Zugspitze in the north.

BIG-3 Gaislachkogl platform (3048 metres)
Indeed, at ‘just’ 3048 m, this is the smallest of all the BIG 3 summits, nonetheless the Gaislachkogl knows how to balance out its major technical disadvantage skilfully – with exquisite top-notch cuisine and oenophile pleasure – served in possibly the most unique panorama restaurant in the world at 3048 m – ice Q with its 360° luxury roof top terrace – accessible from the summit directly above the suspension bridge.

Start in the morning – right at the Giggijoch valley station to the Rettenbach glacier and the first BIG 3 adventure to the Schwarze Schneide. Followed by the Tiefenbachkogl and the panoramic rocky path. BIG 3 athletes get back via the Rettenbach glacier and the ski route to the Gaislachkogl valley station. On the summit of the Gaislachkogl – the last of the BIG 3 – exquisite gourmet moments await in the exceptional ice Q, a pleasure temple at 3048 m altitude.
