The bike stomping ground in the Alps

Do you love to feel the pedals turning beneath your feet rather than having the crunch of the hiking trail and prefer to feel the wind on your face? Then we recommend the countless cycle tours, singletrails and MTB routes in the Ötztal.

Easy gradients through to almost vertical. Smooth, grippy undersurface or sandy, scree-like base. E-Bike, road bike or mountain bike. Great views and glimpses of nature. Countless variants between 600 and 3000 metres altitude. A wide variety of options for tackling the many mountains – and traditional inns which tempt you in to

enjoy a lovely refreshment stop. Whereas many people, such as Olympians, battle their way up the mountain, others celebrate their moment of the summit in somewhat relaxed fashion – or prefer to explore the pleasure-based routes in the valley along the Ötztal Ache.

There are routes to suit everyone here. Whether it if for a day trip, a cosy cycling intermezzo or an extended summit conquering tour. And it is precisely that which makes the region one of the most versatile cycling paradises in the Alps.
