Ski World Cup – 24 to 25.10.2015

The start of winter is brought forward in Sölden – on 24th October. The ladies open the race season on Saturday with the first giant slalom race. On Sunday the men then show what they’re made of in a classic-speedy manner – with applause from lots of spectators. Be there when the stars of alpine ski racing make the Rettenbach glacier their celebration area and celebrate the official opening of the World Cup.

The historic triumphal march of the famous general, Hannibal, is a strategic historical masterpiece. The 500 participants in the glacier show HANNIBAL even eclipse the fantastic coup of the Carthaginians. When show groomers become elephants, base jumpers, planes and helicopters populate the skies and skidoos, paragliders and skiers do battle with gravity on the Rettenbachfern, 3000 m above the sea, you cannot fail to be amazed. Up to 8000 spectators experience the multivisual spectacle every year and experience exceptional choreography, which even includes an avalanche. Date: April 2017
